At a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, Burundi foreign minister Albert Shingiro told RT about his country’s stance on human rights violations that the West has been accusing Gitega of. ‘Human rights should be protected universally, should not be politicized or used selectively’, he said.
