Lisbon teachers take to streets demanding better working conditions

Thousands of teachers and education sector employees rallied in Lisbon, demanding higher salaries and better working conditions. The protesters marched with banners and signs, chanting traditional slogans such as ‘The united school will never be defeated.’ The Union of All Education Professionals is calling for an increase of at least €120 a month for teachers and school professionals after the government reportedly announced an increase of €52 in the monthly salaries of all civil servants, who are paid around €2,600. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Freedom over censorship, truth over narrative.
