The 2003 conflict wasn't the only US campaign against Iraq. In 1990, following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, then-US President Bush Senior sanctioned 'Operation Desert Storm,' a military operation that left about 3,000 civilians killed, as well as up to 50,000 Iraqi troops.
