In 2010, Aleksander Doba from Poland became the first to paddle solo across the Atlantic Ocean, from Senegal to Brazil, using only human muscle, no sails-no desalination system-no support. He finished in 99 days at the age 64. Doba later completed two more ocean crossings, in 2013 and 2017.
